Nifty Electrical Now ASP Accredited

Nifty Electrical Services is pleased to announce that we have achieved Accredited Service Provider (ASP) status for overhead electrical construction, underground electrical construction and public lighting across the Energex and Ergon Energy networks.

This accreditation represents an important milestone for our business and allows us to expand our services to include contestable electricity distribution network construction throughout South East Queensland and regional Queensland.

What Does Our ASP Accreditation Mean?

Energex and Ergon Energy operate electricity distribution networks throughout Queensland. Certain construction activities on these networks can be undertaken by contractors who hold the appropriate Accredited Service Provider rating.

Achieving ASP accreditation means Nifty Electrical Services has been assessed against the relevant requirements to undertake specified electrical network construction activities within our approved scope.

Our accreditation covers three key areas:

  • Underground Electrical Construction (WCS 2-CW) – Construction of underground electrical infrastructure, including trenching, conduit installation, underground cable installation and associated reticulation works.

  • Overhead Electrical Construction (WCS 25-CW) – Construction, installation and replacement of overhead electricity distribution infrastructure, including power poles, conductors and associated network equipment.

  • Public Lighting Construction (WCS 37-CW) – Installation and replacement of public lighting infrastructure in accordance with applicable network requirements.

These capabilities allow us to undertake a broader range of electrical infrastructure projects for developers, civil contractors, electrical designers and property owners.

Expanding Our Electrical Infrastructure Services

Nifty Electrical Services has built its business around overhead and underground electrical construction, including private power pole installations, overhead power lines, trenching and cable hauling.

Achieving ASP accreditation allows us to extend these capabilities to eligible electricity distribution network construction projects.

Our services now include electrical infrastructure construction for residential subdivisions, commercial and industrial developments, network extensions, new property connections and infrastructure upgrades.

With our own elevated work platform, excavators, trucks and specialised cable hauling equipment, we are equipped to undertake a range of construction activities using our own resources.

Committed to Safety, Quality and Compliance

Electrical distribution network construction requires careful planning, appropriately trained personnel and compliance with applicable network standards.

Nifty Electrical Services maintains an established Business Management System incorporating workplace health and safety, quality management, environmental management, training and competency, plant maintenance and construction compliance.

Our documented procedures and inspection processes support the safe and consistent delivery of electrical construction works.

We are committed to maintaining the standards required of an Accredited Service Provider and continuing to develop our capabilities as our business grows.
